Live Football On The Internet - News And Games

Everything To Do With Football (& Other Sports) Online

Welcome to Live-Internet-Football.com, our aim is a simple one, to be your first stop for live football on the internet. Whether you're looking for live Premiership football information, latest football news or details of what games are showing then we've got all that and much more. As a bonus we also cover the other sports that interest us, although maybe not perhaps interest you so much!

So hands up if you're a football fan? That's exactly why this website was setup, to allow football fans to write about their hobby and passion in what we hope is an entertaining way. Whilst we watch more English Premier League football than anything else you will also find plenty of details and articles about other footy including the FA Cup, Champions League, Spanish League (in our opinion the only domestic football in the world that can rival the Premier League) and all forms of international football including the European Championships and of course The World Cup. We basically write about what we enjoy watching!

When it comes to watching live football there is definitely a pecking order, it goes a little like this:-
  1. Match Tickets - The ultimate form of live football, enjoy the game how it was supposed to be enjoyed from a stand with thousands of like minded people!
  2. High Def TV (Like Sky in the UK)- A relatively new invention but one which has made a real difference to the beautiful game in 2D. Some people think HD isn't worth it, I say it's worth every penny.
  3. Normal TV - If you've not been spoilt by High definition live football then watching a game in standard definition is fine.
  4. Mobile/Phone Device - Spanky new technology that allows you to watch live football and other sports via your mobile phone. OK if you're on the move.
Up until recently and depending in which country you live that was that (lets face it, fine if you support Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool) . TV channels showed certain games and depending on what was available in the country where you lived and if you were in front of a TV to watch it then that was all the football you got to see live. Some football leagues were totally unavailable in specific countries, in other circumstances people who wanted to see a game couldn't because they were at work and didn't have access to a TV. Now for the good news, with the ever increasing popularity of high speed internet connections you now have a new option available, you can now watch live football on the internet. The average football fan is going to think of 2 things, quality and complexity? Well, thanks to broadband and really clever streaming technology the quality of the pictures is very watchable and the complexity issue isn't really an issue anymore. The BBC for example broadcast a huge amount of live football and other sport action online, broadcasters in other countries do similar. Sky Sports have the Sky Player that allows Sky subscribers to not miss a minute of their subscribed to sports channels and the fantastic coverage they provide of Premiership games. Away from the various broadcasters around the world there are a handful of programs available that will allow you to simply install, choose a channel and then start watching live football streams. The increase in popularity of people watching live football online has not been missed by the bookmakers either, several (including Bet365, Betfair and bwin) offer superb live streamed content. It's our opinion that even with the increases in performance streamed games can not compete with the quality of live sports through a television set (check out the pecking order above). If you have access to live football in your country through sports channels then that's the better way of watching the games you want, if they've got HD channels then even better!
We hope you enjoy the site and will come back often, if there's anything missing that you'd like to see us add or if you have any other feedback then just use the "Contact Us" button to let us know!
